South London’s Best Roof Top Bars

London in the sunshine is a glorious place to be. You might decide to hit one of South London’s many parks, or perhaps an enticing beer garden, but how about aiming a bit higher…literally.  Roof top bars are popular not just because they provide a place where you can both sun yourself and enjoy a Pimms, but mostly because of the amazing views they offer.  The feeling that your actually not in London at all, but perhaps somewhere like Ibiza is also appealing.  If this sounds like your kind of thing, read on…

Frank’s Bar is nestled on top of a multi-storey car park in Peckham, not the likeliest place for a bar you might think but Frank’s is superb.  Amazing views across London’s skyline, a good range of drinks including a selection of cocktails and a collaboration with BOLD TENDENCIES SCULPTURE PROJECT all make Frank’s the go to roof top of the summer.  Arrive early to avoid queues and if you’re looking to carry on the party after closing head to the nearby Bussey Building.

Opening – Weds – Sun 11am – 11pm

POW – Formerly known as The Lambeth, Brixton Clubhouse, and before that Dex, POW (Prince of Wales)  is the latest incarnation of what is an amazing venue.  You could easily miss this rooftop bar from the outside set on the corner above the KFC in Brixton.  Once inside you could be at an open air venue in Ibiza (weather permitting, ahem).  With regular day/night time parties with well known DJ’s, get yourself to this rooftop for a dance!

Queen Elizabeth Garden Bar & Cafe – Above Queen Elizabeth Hall on the Southbank this roof top has real grass and flowers having been designed by the Eden Project.  Enjoy all the buzz of the Southbank from up high whilst sipping on a Strawberry Prosecco Bellini.
