Oh Counter, let me count the ways…
From the build your own Bellinis to the live pianist taking requests,
To the baked eggs presented perfectly in a pan just for one.
Combining art deco glamour with a relaxed Sunday vibe,
for a slow long brunch, this was the perfect spot.
No sooner had I left Counter, after a wonderful afternoon organised by Zomato, I was already thinking about occasions for which I could return. The brunch menu is just fabulous, so many choices. From true American style French toast and bacon to avocado and poached eggs on toast. The Bellinis were a steal at £20 for a bottle of Prosecco and all the trimmings to construct at your leisure.
The atmosphere was greatly enhanced by the live music, and the friendly staff ensured you were always looked after.
Counter’s not just for Brunch though, it’s proximity to Vauxhall station, eg right next door in one of the railway arches, means it’s a perfect pit stop for takeaway coffee. They’re open late for drinks too and serve meals throughout the day. A great, much needed addition to blossoming Vauxhall.
