From all of us at SLB we wish you a very happy New Year. London is the best city in the world to live and work in and it goes without saying that we especially love our part of the city, south of the river. SLB has grown and grown over the past two years and we’d like to thank everyone who’s supported us. Here are some pics of things we covered in 2014 and a flavour of what we aim to bring you in 2015.
Eat – We’ll check out the new openings, go back to some old favourites and unearth more value-for-money restaurants and cafes. Our #20Ddays20Dinners challenge proved very popular in 2014 and we aim to give it another go later in the year.
Do – One of our features this year will be dance in all its varieties; it’s fun, healthy and social – what’s not to like! So whether its tango, salsa, ballroom or contemporary, we’ll road test the classes and the venues for you. An activity we’ve never covered before is tennis, and as South London hosts two of the biggest tournaments in the world each year, we thought it was about time we tried out the parks and the clubs for you.
See – South London has something for everybody, so whether it’s museums, galleries, cinema, sport or music we’ll keep you up to speed with the places to go. Things to look forward to this year include the Picture House Cinema openings in West Norwood and East Dulwich, and the new Damien Hirst Gallery in Vauxhall.
5s – Our popular 5s articles cover everything and anything of interest to South Londoners. In 2014 we looked at a wide variety of topics including the cheapest places to live, the tallest buildings, the best places to go on a date and the things we miss. More of this eclectic mix in 2015 including street art, best pizza and sporting heroes.
Looking forward to bringing you the best of South London throughout the year – have a brilliant 2015!
