Phonox – Opening  4/5th September

After the closure of Plan B there were concerns over the loss of yet another London night club.  However fear not as the Columbo Group who bought the venue have big plans for the space which will re-open the first weekend of September.  Tickets for the opening weekend start at just £5.Phonox Club Brixton

Brixton Design Trail – 19 – 27 September

Brixton joins in the events surrounding London Design Festival, and it promises to be bigger and better than last years offerings. Events include an open air gallery and a transformation of the Black Cultural Archives courtyard. street gallery brixton

Greenwich Comedy Festival –  16 – 20 September

Set in the stunning grounds of the  National Maritime Museum, the Greenwich Comedy Festival is back, and promises to be the biggest yet since its inception in 2009.  Acts this year include Reginald D Hunter, Omid Djalili and Ed Byrne. On Sunday 20th there’s free entry to Magners New Comedy Act, prices from £15 otherwise.

Tootopia –  25 – 27 September

Back again celebrating all that is great in Tooting, expect a variety of events throughout the weekend across Tooting.

The Bayou Banquet – 16th – 27th September

A new two-week festival of New Orleans-inspired events hosted by supper club Slap Ya Papa at The Vaults, Waterloo. We’re particularly excited about the Friday 18th event when Manchester favorites Riot Jazz will be providing the music.Slap Ya Papa 9

Bermondsey Street Festival 19th September 11am  – 6pm

The Festival seeks to promote local talent, creativity and businesses and as well as plenty of great food and drink on offer there’ll be a dog show and guided walks lasting an hour.

Squid Kitchen at King & Co – The next in a long list of great food take overs at the King & Co is Madrid Market Eating from the squid kitchen.  Catch them at this great Clapham pub from 1st September – 4th October.  Enjoy their signature Squid Kitchen Cones with Vampire Killer aioli and popular Bocadillo de Calamares (sourdough rolls stuffed with fried squid rings), washed down with one of their craft beers from a carefully curated line-up.Squid Kitchen - _ Squid Kitchen Cone

Beer by the River –  4/5th September Morden Hall Park.

The festival takes place in a walled garden, just by the park’s main gate from Morden Road.  There will of course be beer (other drinks will be available), as well as food and live music.  The festival is a two day event celebrating local beer, music and food, brought to you by Sambrooks Brewery and the National Trust. Tickets £8/day.
