Fu Unplugged and Fu Live
Filling what I’d say was a bit of a gap in the market, Fu Manchu have just launched two new live music nights at their home in Clapham North.
Thursdays bring a night of live music from the Fu Manchu players who are a group of musicians playing covers of popular soul and r’n’b songs. Set at the right level so that conversation can still be enjoyed, the players enjoy three sets throughout the evening starting at 8 and getting livelier as the night progresses. Enjoy cocktails and dim sum with table service whilst tapping along to the catchy tunes. This is a great atmospheric venue, perfect for live music.
Fridays are also devoted to live music and will see singers take on residencies for a certain period of time. Errol Reid is the first up, and along with his band will be performing covers with some of his own material. With a powerful voice, Errol has performed with the likes of James Brown and Robin Gibb and is featured on Axwell’s Nothing But Love. Fridays are open until 3am, with live music starting from 8 and DJ’s taking over later in the night.
