The first time I went to an outdoor cinema was in Perth, Australia. Whilst the film was forgettable the experience was not and I’m glad the trend has been a firm staple of the British summer for the past few years. Whilst our weather is less than ideal (take me back to Perth), we are British and will therefore take multiple blankets, a brolly and gloves and endure! Or you could get lucky and have sun. Enjoy…
The Nomad Cinema – Popping up at various locations across London throughout the summer, including Bushy Park and the Meantime Brewery. Expect such classics as Labrynth and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
The Luna Cinema – With numerous south London venues including Brockwell Lido, Tooting Common and Crystal Palace Park, the Luna Cinema are bringing film to some great outdoor spaces this summer.
Vauxhall Summer Screen – Now in its third year, Vauxhall Summer Screen is back bringing free screenings to Vauxhall Pleasure Garden. Every Tuesday in July will see a different film played, the first is Zoolander on the 7th. You also have the chance to pick the final film!
Rooftop Film Club – Back on the roof of the Bussey Buidling, you’ll get great views of the London skyline as well as your movie. Throughout the Summer Tuesdays have been earmarked for ‘Chick Flicks’, which means you and the girls can go watch ‘Clueless’ and reminisce about the good times. The rooftop film club also has venues in Shoreditch, Stratford and Kensington.
